UA Early College Tuition Now Only $33 per Credit Hour

Big news! The University of Alabama Early College is making it even easier — and more affordable — for motivated high school students to get a head start on their college journey. Starting Fall 2025, tuition for all Early College courses will be only $33 per credit hour.

This major tuition reduction means you can earn college credit from a nationally renowned university at a fraction of the cost, saving you time and money on your path to a college degree.

Every student takes our first course, UAEC 200 — College Readiness, free of charge. Students can take UAEC 200 for free this summer to take full advantage of the new reduced tuition come fall!

How It Works

Apply

Admission to UAEC is simple — if you’ve completed the ninth grade and have a 3.0 GPA or higher, just submit our online application and send us your high school transcript! You should hear back from us within a few days.

Enroll

During your application, you’ll select when you want to start your first class — UAEC 200, which you’ll be enrolled in upon admission. After you successfully complete the six-week course, you’ll be ready to take full UA courses in the upcoming semester!
