Currently, Early College students pay the University’s Distance Learner tuition rate. The Distance Learning tuition rate for the 2024-2025 academic year is $385 per credit hour. Beginning in the Fall 2025 semester, Early College students will pay the University’s new Dual Enrollment tuition rate of $33 per credit hour. Please note: the Early College partial tuition scholarship referenced below will be discontinued when the new Dual Enrollment tuition rate takes effect in Fall 2025.

We are excited to announce that beginning in the Fall 2025 semester, The University of Alabama Early College will introduce a new dual enrollment tuition rate of $33 per credit hour. Additionally, our first course, UAEC 200 College Readiness, which is mandatory for all students before enrolling in full UA courses, will continue to be offered at no cost!
In-State Scholarship
UA Early College students attending high school in the state of Alabama are eligible for a 50% tuition scholarship, if they meet the 3.0 high school GPA admission requirement. This means that in-state UA Early College students tuition is reduced to $192.50 per credit hour.

To maintain the automatic UA Early College scholarship, UA Early College students must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA in their UA classes.
Dependents of National Alumni Association Members are also eligible for a $25 University Supply Store book Scholarship (when enrolled in class).
