The table below shows the dates by which an application must be submitted to participate in each UAEC 200 College Readiness Course. The left column shows the date to apply. The center column shows the first class session date of each UAEC 200 course and whether it is offered online or on campus. Please note: students are required to complete some work in the week leading up to the live session. The right column shows the next term a student can participate in after completing the UAEC 200 course.
To be admitted to The University of Alabama Early College, you will need to complete an online application and ask your school counselor to submit your high school transcript to UA Early College. Transcripts are due by Noon on the day following the application deadline.
InfoAttendance Requirement – UAEC 200 First Class Session
Attendance at the required UAEC 200 First Class Session is mandatory. Students who fail to attend this session without prior approval from the UA Early College program will forfeit their seat in the course. Failure to attend the UAEC 200 First Class Session constitutes withdrawal from UAEC 200 and forfeits the student’s opportunity to continue in the UA Early College program through this enrollment cycle. Students who are unable to attend due to extenuating circumstances must notify the UA Early College office before the scheduled session. Exceptions, if any, will be considered at the sole discretion of the program.
*Students can start Early College as early as the summer after their ninth-grade year or as late as the summer after the senior year of high school. To be admitted to Early College, students must have a 3.0 or higher grade point average on 4.0 scale (or the equivalent), cumulative since the beginning of ninth grade.

Students gain access to their UAEC 200 course one week before the first class session date and must complete some required work before the first class session. Participation in the first class session is mandatory for both the student and a parent/guardian. All times listed below are Central.
